Robust Temperature Sensing for Medical Applications (MLX90632)

health No Comments »

Meet Melexis’ MLX90632: a miniature infrared (IR) SMD thermometer IC for accurate medical grade (± 0.2 °C) non-contact temperature measurement, especially in thermally dynamic
environments and when available space is limited.

This ultra small device comes in a 3x3x1mm QFN package, eliminating the need for bulky TO-can packages.

Primary applications for this device can be found in wearable health monitoring applications as well as in forehead and ear thermometers and portable blood diagnosis tools.

Small size, high thermal stability and medical grade accuracy are combined within one sensor solution. Our new medical grade MLX90632 infrared sensor is a finalist for the ‘Innovative Product Award’ organized by Sensors Expo 2019.
